I've been going to Kugel's for breakfast at least once a week (sometimes more often) for a few years now. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I can't recall a single time when the food has been less than wonderful! (The berry waffle that they sometimes do as a special is particularly nice!) Waitresses are very friendly and have good senses of humor. Definitely a place worth going to!

I'm from NY, and any excuse to go to a NY Style breakfast joint/diner is worth the trip. I drove from Marblehead to Framingham. Let me tell you that it's not easy to find, the Intersection of Edgell Road and Rt9 doesn't mean much. They should really provide more info in their directions. I was very excited when I arrived. I walked in and the waitress motioned me to sit anywhere, however after I selected a 4-top to sit at from among the more than twelve empty tables, she walked over and suggested I choose a smaller table; she said the owner doesn't like to waste tables in case they get busy. I said that they didn't seem too busy right now. She said I could sit at this table, but if it got busy, the owner might come over and ask me to move to a smaller table. I said, "I could just go somewhere else for breakfast," and she replied, "would you mind?" I said no and walked out. If this is the best that Framingham has to offer, I would avoid Kugel's. Thumbs down from this New Yorker. No stars.

Waitress was very personable and attentive. I had the Challah French Toast which was good, but it was cool when it arrived despite seeing the cook hand it to the waitress and her promptly serving it. Not quite sure how that happened. Too cool to have my butter melt on it.
There was no wait at 8:30am on a Sunday morning (only 1/5 full). I plan on returning to try the potato pancakes at some point. They also had cabbage soup on special, but it was too early in the morning to give that a try.
Price was about a $1-$2 more than necessary for breakfast. Looking at their lunch menu, this holds true for those items as well.

They serve breakfast all day here. They close early though, either 3 or 4 depending on the day. Great to eat here if you are low carbing. The tomato feta omelet is just the right salty-sweet. I always get a side of lox spread, with lettuce to wrap it in. For 75 cents, it's a bargain. The service is friendly. The coffee could be better, but free refills help. A very big menu, lots of stuff. Excellent cheese blintzes. The hand cut lox platter is to die for. Also, they have the best deli meats and chopped liver if you go for lunch or want to have meat mixed in with your eggs.
