Great food, friendly atmosphere, and priced right! My favorite breakfast spot in Mankato.

This restaurant has been in Mankato forever. In the 50's it was a late-night diner that served dinner at 2 A.M. It still has the little "sattelite" jukeboxes at every booth. Now it's mostly a breakfast/lunch place that closes around 4 P.M. on weekedays, and 1 P.M. on Saturday (closed Sunday). It's pretty much a greasy-spoon joint. Good, cheap eats. Service is quick, the coffee is great, and the newspaper is always there for you to read while you wait for your order. My only complaint is their lack of any fruits or vegetables. If you like blueberries in your pancakes, or strawberries on top...gotta go elswhere. Also, you're out of luck if you like more than peppers, onions, and cheese in your omelete.

BEST hangover joint. Great basics (two eggs over easy, bacon!!, browns, coffee). Get a milkshake if you want to live!
