we recently found out from friends in hightstown new jersey that mom's closed because the owner of a popular other diner in east windsor,(who purchased the property from original owners) raised the rent and made it inposssible to stay in business. but we all miss chef giorgio and his staff,we wish them all well wherever they are.

First of all I think they went out of business, I don't know how they were, but when we went there a few years ago, they wanted to charge for refills on coffee

My husband and I like Chef George and his family of workers. We go to East Windsor twice a year and he always makes us feel like a family. No matter if I go early in the morning or late evening. He always has my coffe and my english muffin ready or any other foods I require. My husband who is hearing impaired individual is also taken care and made felt warm and inviting.

WOW! What a place! i was stuck on the NJ Turnpike for three hour and I got Off at Exit 8 .Asked the guy at the toll booth where there was a good place to eat and the First thing out of his mouth was Chef Giorgio's Mom's Diner.
Boy was he right GREAT FOOD. Great Owner.

I wrote most of my dissertation in a booth at the back of this place.

I never had the coffee cup run dry. I never had the water get low. I never had a bad bite of food, and I never have seen such an exuberantly run place in as long as i've been eating breakfast.

Really, now, the food invites comparison to Fuller's, but the red velvet chocolate cake, a Jersey Diner staple, is what constitutes the sine qua non of Georgio's Mom's. a slice of that will make ya smile for hours.

Whenever i go back east, i pay a visit. Usually a visit becomes a couple of hours and that's just the way i like it. Oh, beware, the portions are insanely large.

Ladis and gentleman,this guy that took over the Peppermilla few years ago,is making a name for himself.The food is awsome,the service is home-like,he is very strict about hospitality.hospitality here is real.His slogan here is "Thanks for not Cookin"
