After reading the reviews, we chose 2 places to eat in when we visited Michigan. We were a bit apprehensive about BJs because of the biggest dump comment on your site, but we went to try it out anyway. Well what a shock we got. This place is PHENOMENAL!
This place is like home, even the bathrooms are spotless. (a rarity in public places). The breakfast was exceptional. I was surprised they have a whole grain & diabetic menu - it was great since i am a diabetic, lots of choices with all the nutritional values. I had oatmeal with raisins and sunflower bread toasted with peanut butter. It was so very good and good for me. My friend had a perfectly cooked vegetable omelet with home made country sausage gravy and a nut & grain pancake. It was truly to die for!
The service was fast & friendly. The servers and the food came to our table in just minutes. Plenty of coffee refills and lots of pleasant conversation.all were very friendly. We also tried Greg & Lous. The owner, Greg, was yelling and swearing at one of the servers as we entered and the floor was really dirty so we decided not to dine there as we are Christian people and don't condone swearing and humiliating another human being. I recommend BJ's as the #1 restaurant in the Owosso area.

Not quite as nice as Greg and Lou's, but the servings are bigger and the food is just as good.
I haven't been there for a couple months but last time I remember the prices being cheaper than Greg and Lou's too.

This restaurant is way too small and the service is not very friendly. Secound to last pick as place to eat in Owosso. Still better than Greg and Lou's.

I love this place!! I moved into town about 6 or 7 months ago and discoved this place. They have the best daily specials just like my mom used to make. Chicken & dumplings, Pot Roast, Meatloaf and so many more and if you cant find it on the special board or the menu just ask a day or so in advance and they will actually make it for you. It's unbelievable! I rate it #1. Happy Holidays!

I have eaten in all the restaurants in this community. Ihave never had a complaint on anything. The food is as they advertise good old fashion home cooking! My wife calls it home away from home. The prices can't be beat, and the quanity they give you wow you wont leave hungry. They make their pies from scratch and the crust is just like mama's. I prefer their cappucino my wife likes their coffee it's always fresh. It's not a real classy place which doesn't bother us and if they fix it up then there go the reasonable prices to pricy prices. Stop in and you'll find the most caring bunch of people around. They won the best of the best restaurant in Shiawassee county in 3 or 4 catagories which is a yearly public voted event put on by our local newspaper for the past I dont know how many years.

B.J.'s is a little on the dumpy side. The decor - from the tables to the salt shakers - is strictly garage sale. The Sunday morning I ate there, I shared my table with a spider.
Now the good news... the setting might be second-rate, but the food is absolutely first-rate and the service is far above average.
I had French Toast with a nice thick egg coating. My sausage patty was near perfect - hand-packed and a nice change of pace from the fresh-from-the-freezer perfectly-round patties you get at most places.
I tried the corned beef hash and was impressed with its consitancy and flavor. The toast made from homemade bread - alone - showed that these people care about the food they're serving.
The coffee was bland. Especially unfortunate, because they were very good with the refills.
Service, on the whole, was friendly and efficient. I was extremely impressed with the busboy - a 9 or 10 year old kid - who appeared as from thin air the second any table was vacated.
I tried four restaurants for breakfast when I visited Owosso recently. B.J.'s was the best.
