I have re-visited this restaurant due to a re-model and paint on the outside. This restaurant has been transformed into a great restaurant. The breakfast is delicious. Larger portions, fresher food, great service, clean, reasonable prices. You gotta try the new seasonal pumpkin butter spread they give you with the toast.

You Gotta visit this place for a great breakfast.

The service is good, the food is average and the prices are o.k. But, the portions are small. The quote on the outside of the restaurant says "Worlds Biggest Breakfast." That statement is completely false. It would be the worlds biggest breakfast only if you ordered 6 of them. If your looking for a big breakfast with large portions for a good deal your better off trying the Original Pantry in downtown Los Angeles.

I am the same Spartan Bill who wrote the review in June 2004. Since then the special menuhas been scrapped, most of the customers are gone amd a new owner is running the place.

The last time I was in, and I do mean the LAST TIME, I ordered an ice tea with breakfast. It tasted weird, probably just a dirty glass. I tild the waitress who left it on the table and disappeared. 5 minutes later I asked what was up, and was told the tea was fine. No one even offered me another glass or an alternate beverage. I asked the manager if I could get another glass, she turned her back and walked away.

I did the same thing! I walked out with the eggs still on the griddle. I won't be back.

The sign painted on the side of the building says "BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN".

I drove by one day and said to myself "prove it".

One illegal U-turn later, I am in the Hungry Fox. Even though it is 8 miles from my home, it is my destination of choice.

I can't comment on the whole menu. I never get past special #4, the eggs with a 10 oz ground beef patty, smothered with mushrooms and onions. Unless you love onions ask for easy onions!.

I make a game with the waitress, I try to empty the coffee cup before she can top it off. Even though she doesn't even know we are playing she always wins.

Also, they get extra points because it is so nice to spread homemade jam from a small bowl rather than your normal Mixed Fruit from a pre-portioned plastic tub.

The decor is plain, haphazard and reminiscent of a gartage sale. In other words perfect.

One suggestion...don't go unless you are hungry!
