Love the Omelette Shoppe. They have one in Grand Rapids and I have been there so much they are starting to recognize me! But that is a good thing. They have a great atmosphere and great service. Love the Omelettes, because they can put just about anything in them. Great breakfast, have yet to try the lunch menu, but will be going soon.

Ate there last Saturday when we were in TC (don't know if it was 1 or 2 - it's in a small strip mall (?)) Had the corned-beef hash -best I've had in a long time! Most often it's too salty, cut O.S.'s was perfect. Great hash browns. Watched and smelled everyone elses food go by and want to try it all. Great stuff!

Perhaps our expectations were a little high. The walls were dirty and the food was average. It was busy and seems to be the place to eat breakfast. However, it may a case of simply being the most convenient place downtown. However, one bright spot was the homemade strawberry jam which was wonderful.

We travel a lot and we enjoy our breakfast (family of 4 with two young boys) and this is ALWAYS GREAT. We eat here everytime we visit TC (2-3 times/year) and whether it is busy or not is worth the wait.

When I go to Traverse City, I go to the Omelette Shoppe. It's not an option...you have to go. I go to the 2nd location...the one next to the bird feeder shop. (I can find it but can't tell you the address, sorry...all the townies can tell you where it is)

have been eating at the 2 omelette shoppes in traverse city since 2005. always a grat meal great freah brakery. and they now have 2 stores in grand rapids. i resently eat at the one in brenton village mall in grand rapids and they did a great job recreateing my faverit t.c. eatery felt like i was still up north and the 1209 e front street store can handl groups of 20 plus people in there large side room great for buiness meeting

The egg dishes are outstanding, and the bacon is delicious. The fresh-squeezed orange juice, while priced a bit high, is a must. The sourdough bread used to be better, but the homemade jam or preserves that come with it is awesome.

Best breakfast I have had in years! The omelette was fantastic as were the hash browns. The cherry pecan oat bran bread was to die for. Will go there again next year when we visit!
Wish we had one in the Detroit area.

We cannot wait for our visits to Traverse City and breakfast at the Omelette Shoppe. The wait staff is very friendly and the customers all enjoy themselves while being served a wonderful breakfast. It is all so good we really are not able to come up with a favorite.

The Service and food was excellent, I walked out with a smile on my face and a sence of pride that i was treated so well. They make there own rolls and bakery items I saw them brought up from the bakery in the same building. And met the baker, Some one earlier was obviously confused or having a bad day. It happens, Mine was made better by my visit. Thanks Guys, Keep it up.....

MY FAMILY AND I TRAVEL TO TRAVERSE CITY A LEAST TWICE A YEAR TO VISIT FAMILY, AND LOOK FORWARD TO BREAKFAST AT THE OMELETTE SHOP EACH TIME WE ARE IN TOWN. THEIR HASH BROWNS ARE THE BEST, AND THE CINNAMON RAISN TOAST IS FANTASTIC!

I could not argee less the the previous reviewer.
They do still bake their own products. And the new owners have added new thrills to the to the menu while not changing any of the old classics.

They have updated all the old decor. IMPO The Omelette Shoppe is a must stop for anyone in Traverse city.

The decline of this restaurant is impressive. They use to bake all of these wonderful rolls and buns, not any more. Also, the new owners have cheapened the ingredients while raising the prices. The hayday of the Omelette Shoppe is OVER! Dont waste your time and money. You can get a better breakfast just about anywhere else!
