We returned to Eggbert's for sentimental reasons. We had been to the "original" Eggbert's on our first visit to Kauai 25 years ago. It is now combined with something called "Hula Girl" for the evenings. The food and service was okay. But just up the road is a place called Kountry Kitchen. Go there instead.

Service was terrible last time I was there. Waitress walked out and left us sitting for an hour before even offering us coffee. Our order of pancakes took over an hour and a half to get even though the resturant was almost empty. Complaints to manager was ignored. I suspect one of the other waitress took out order my mistake, which I understand happens, but no one seemed to care that weren't served. I will not be going back.

The eggs benedict is good, but their prices are a bit steep. Refill service is horrible. Eat here if you like a leisurely breakfast and don't mind being thirsty.
