The place was exceptionally busy on a cloudy Saturday morning, and the seating wasn't very private for two. A little girl from a waiting group sat staring at me and my breakfast from 1 foot away (almost in my lap).
O.K., picky maybe, but there's other negatives. 80 plus omelettes on the menu (no kidding) but the ones we picked were average and in one of them the eggs had not been completely cooked.
Coffee was o.k., but the refill rate was poor and the servers patronizingly friendly and that didn't translate to good service.
We've been spoiled by recent forays to other breakfast spots in Long Beach and one other in San Pedro, If you're in San Pedro, I recommend Rex's on Pacific. Great place, food, coffee, and service. The Omelette and Waffle can't touch it. And, forget the Gaffey Street place right off the Fwy.
In addition to other negatives at Omelette and Waffle, my two biscuits were the size of a quarter, hard as a rock, and appeared to be a few days old.
There's places in Long Beach, like Omelette Inn, Eggs, Etc, and Rex's in Pedro that make this place only a one visit location for us.

A great San Pedro breakfast location with a friendly staff and good food. Their coffee is always fresh. They offer both regular and hazelnut blends. A good variety of choices on their menu. One of the few cafes where I can get grits with my eggs. My kids love their waffles and fresh fruit. I also enjoy that the owners are often found walking amongst the tables, checking on the quality of the food and just saying hi. The only challenge is the long line that forms on the weekends...proof that the food and service is some of the best San Pedro has to offer.

This place, and The Pacific Diner, are my favorite San Pedro breakfast spots... The previous reviewer 'stole my thunder' with their comments of praise... I'll just say "ditto" to that review... The owner is often there, and makes sure I'm always happy...

I'm a huge fan! I stopped in when I moved to San Pedro ten years ago. I'm spoiled with the huge portions, the awesome variety, and especially the freshness and food quality for the price. I can't begin to name all my favorites. I love their homemade chili verde, the grilled pork chops, the homemade waffles, especially the pumpkin waffle!! I also can't believe the fresh fruit cup they offer. Cut fresh every time. The service is also very consistent. I'm always treated like they care about my business. what a great, well run operation. I fell like my money is well spent here. Food here is unsurpassed by anyone in town. No one makes homemade food like these gals!! I'm shocked the Food Network didn't pick this restaurant for their piece on diners!! This local Pedro eatery is over the top.

I have only visited this restaurant once. It was a busy Saturday morning. We were seated quickly. The fresh orange juice was excellent, but that is where the great food ended. When I received my breakfast, it was lacking visual appeal as well as flavor. It was a large white plate with some scrambled eggs in one corner and some partially mashed, rather flavorless potatoes in another corner (toast on the side). I am wondering why there is always a wait to be seated at this restaurant. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing???

I noticed not many reviews on this restaurant. My opinion is that it was very good a few years back, but service as well as the food portions have been very inconsistent. Going once or twice a week you get a real feel of the restaurant. An example of this is I would order the same dish 3 consecutive times and the portions vary immensely. I would make a comment and they would provide an attitude that customers don't need when they go out to enjoy themselves for a nice breakfast. The help, although friendly for the most part, seems to be inconsistent in servicing the tables. I understand the turnover issues in restaurants, having worked in one, but they should have training with the owner giving her philosophy of what she expects regarding attitude and professionalism. On a few occasions we approached the owner with polite constructive criticism and on both occasions she took a big sigh and said she didn't have time to discuss. Not a good sign. Its a shame that this attitude has changed this restaurant ...going downhill. They had a good thing going.

If you love omlettes, this is the place. They will cheerfully make them any way you want, and the prices are still reasonable! They understand that coffee drinkers want the cup filled with hot coffee at all times! A great breakfast and lunch place!
