Worst restaurant meal I've ever had. Ordered eggs over easy and they came uncooked, runny and poorly presented. The toast was cooked on one side and not the other. No one else was in the restaurant so it was due to an over-stressed cook. Coffee was even burned.
If you want a great breakfast, go to Albin's. Great food, people and atmosphere. They only serve breakfast on Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday. The profits go to support Meals on Wheels. I've been back three times and love it more each time.

My first and only visit to Four B's was way back in October 1990, but my one visit left an indelible mark in my aging memory bank. I remember rolling in on my fully-loaded touring bicycle, after starting my solo 'shakedown' bicycle tour 9 days prior in Las Vegas NV, after many lonely miles on highway shoulders, a nightime descent of the Bright Angel Trail via candle lantern light and surviving a scorpion bite on my backside at Phantom Ranch a few nights prior (I had to hike up to the South Rim the following morning). 4 B's was nearly empty on my visit, so without any food context I (mistakenly) ordered two pancakes and a glass of water. Of course, like SO many others before me and no doubt so many other since, when those huge pancakes arrived I just had to have my waitress take my picture. Raised to eat everything on one's plate after hearing my Mom's horror stories of the evil of wasting food while kids like me starved in India, I dug in to my plate. Delish! I BARELY finished, and then in remembering my mode of transport, grabbed a couple extra napkins just in to safe. Cause when ya gots to go and you're astride a bicycle riding an Interstate's shoulder in the middle of a desolate desert, ya just gots to 'make do'. Or for me later that morning, 'make do-do'. The next day I ended my 600-mile solo tour and boarded a jet in Phoenix to fly back to my native Va. Of course, 4 B's came to mind when the flight attendant offered me a mere speck that she called a 'breakfast'. Had she been to 4 B's herself she would have known better.

If you miss your turn off at Black Canyon City, find a way to turn around. These people put on the perverbial feedback. Pancakes as big as a full size hub cap, is not an exaggeration. They also have a 'Pancake eating contest" if you can eat a stack of four, you eat for free. I'll bet you can't. The pancakes are great! But so is everything else. My Dad was impressed eighteen years ago and still talks about the place today.
And the place hasn't changed a bit. Down home charm, mixed with great food. I wouldn't stop anywhere else. The kids run the place in the afternoon and they provide they same great service their parents have in the past. If you pass this place up, you'll just kick yourself.
Best breakfast I have ever had and I've been half way around the world.

"Best Bargain Breakfast"? You could spend more money but I don't see how you could get a 'better' breakfast! My wife won't let me try the 'short' [3] stack of pancakes but one of these days ...

Oh God yes, the FREAKIN' PANCAKES are AWESOME!!!
Really, you sit there and say to yourself "Why are they selling them individually?"
Not only are they HUGE but the are VERY GOOD as well. Picture a pancake the size of a medium pizza, there you have it.
Now, just to warn you, it's in a little place that from the outside really doesn't look like all that much, and inside, eh, let's just say it's quaint and retro 60's Arizona...:)
But the people who work there, the cook, all of it makes this "gem in the rough" really a treat to go out to.
You will not be disapointed with the food and quality of the service.

Awesome pancakes, but be careful how large a stack you order, becasue they are huge, larger than a dinner plate.
