Tooo bad -- this place used to be sooo awesome and all those great reviews were from when the place was owned by a young married hipster couple who put the love into the food and the music and atmosphere. They sold it and it has never been the same since -- we were just so sad going back to see what had become of the place -- it's a wreck, sad faced service, bad food, it was just awful. Spare yourself and avoid this place, especially if you knew the vibe and food as it once was -- it will make you so sad!

Having moved nearby recently, I decided to walk to Ned's to give it a try. I'd gotten good reviews from friends, but sadly, the place was just okay... and the service was slow. I should give them another try before writing this review, but the friends that recommended it say it's changed and that my assessment isn't off-mark.
So, try at your own risk... I will again, but with low expectations.

Loved this place! The eggs were delicious, the well-done bacon was perfectly cooked the way I love, the zucchini fritters with sour cream were incredibly tasty, the pancakes were huge and yummy, and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. My boyfriend LOVED his salmon scramble. I wish they had real fresh squeezed orange juice (not the bottled Naked orange juice).
And it's a very small place with an open kitchen so I'm sure it's very loud when it's busy. But I highly recommend it!

I agree with Twizzard, Ned's is awesome, maybe the best breakfast in this part of the SF Valley. The previous owners, a young hipster couple, brought the zuchinni shredders recipe with them and they truly are an incredibly tasty morning side dish. In addition to the great omlettes they also have a really great fruit and yogurt dish, with choice fruits, not bogus melon chunks, and good quality yogurt. Also -- try the grilled homemade muffins, another recipe the young hipster previous owners brought to the place -- really delicious. Friendly place to hang.

I'm surprised Ned's isn't already on the list of places to visit. They have great pancakes, fantastic omlettes stuffed full and zucchini schredders to die for. Check them out. I recommend not going during lunchtime on weekdays though because it's always packed.
