Year ago this place was the place to eat, however over the last few years its dropped in quality. My most resent visit the coffee was the absolute worst. Food was marginal and the service slow. Not recommended in my book. Better off going down the street to IHOP or Coco's. Really sad to see a place that used to be so good go so bad. I will not be going back.

Used to love this place, they often have specials they re-create from the food channel. Food is good but recently the owner switched coffee brands. Since then we no longer visit. Farmer Brothers was the original brand which was always good but the new designer brand from Santa Barbara is bitter and tastes bad. Thus we won't be going back. If you like coffee then try another place.

While I was also one of those unhappy customers with the service a few years back, I gave this place another try. They must have gotten the word and made some changes. The managers since have all had big smiles and even seemed to care about our experience. Food is always great, chicken fried chicken, omelets and great biscuits and gravy.

Places can change and this place has. I agree if you get bad service you're not likely to return and owners should pay attention. Everyone has a bad day, my visits after the one bad one have all been great.

My wife and I decided to have breakfast a bit later than usual, so the crowd was not to bad.The food my Wife ordered was great! My Wife ordered the seafood omlette and I ordered the Breaded porkchop and eggs My Breakfast would have been great if I didnt order the bland porkchop.Two thumbs up for the biscuts and gravy!
Service was so-so not to friendly.Like the other ratings,what blew it was the JERK of an Owner.As we were paying, my compliment on the food was shrugged off and then he just walked away with out giving me my change.After following him to the other side of the cafe he stomped back to the register and threw my change on the counter and walked away.We will never return and I will tell my story to every soul I know.

Terrible service. The owner could care less about the customers' satisfaction. I've eaten here for years. When the service got bad a couple of years ago, I overlooked it and after three bad experiences, and the owner telling us to leave if we didn't like the service, I'll NEVER go back. There are plenty of good restaurants in town where you get friendly service, but this is definitely not one of them. Do not waste your time at this place. Try Village Grille on F Street for better food and service.

Nothing special, I tried this place 3 times over a period of 60 days to be fair. I will not be going back. Coffee is usually warm to cold. Service was a joke, waitress forgot my food and then tried to re-serve it via the microwave oven, please give me a break at the higher prices they charge this is UNACCEPTABLE. Sonija I think her name was, food was just average.

Although the food is good the service has gone down hill fast. The owner is there and frankly is as big of a jerk as they come. He had a new server working Saturday breakfast and did not know what she was doing. After an hour of waiting we asked about our food. It finally came via a lot of attitude from the owner. We had split up our party in order to get a table. We sat down at the same time but a different server. They were done at least 30 minutes before we were. The owner asked them to leave so he could re-sit the table. When I paid the check, I kindly advised that things had gone awry. He said he did not care and frankly did not need our business. No problem there, we won't be back. Beware Milts is owned by the same guy!!!

We travel and choose the restaurants listed on Mr.Breakfast for our Sunday breakfasts. There was about a 20 min wait to get into the restaurant. (Meanwhile they offered free coffee). They had a great choice of breakfast foods to choose from. Our waitress was great, the service was good. There was a bit of a wait for our food since they were so busy, but the wait was well worth it.

I live in L.A. when we travel north I make sure to leave in the A. M. so we can eat at 24th Street.
