This may be my favorite Baton Rouge breakfast. I love the Acadiana Benedict, which is a biscuit topped with Canadian Bacon, poached eggs, and crawfish etouffee.

Hash browns are absolutely wonderful, crispy and fried discs of potato. The menu claims they are famous, and I would not doubt it.

Mason's does offer bottomless champagne for $3.95 on the weekends, which seems like a good deal. The OJ is not bottomless however, and is purchased separately.

This place does fill up quickly. We have waited up to 30 minutes for a table, but it has always been worth it. Waitstaff is friendly if usually busy, and fast and attentive. The food can take a little while to arrive at the table during the busiest times, which is probably to be expected.

This is everything brunch should be.

They have a huge menu - stuff you don't see at other restaurants. I love the crab cake and egg breakfast - you get 2 homemade crab cakes topped with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, they serve it with they're awesome cajun hash browns.

The wait staff is always friendly, and they know me and my family by name. The owner and his wife are always there and he is usually the one who cooks my meal. The daughter of the owner is also there most of the time and she always visits every customer to make sure they are happy with their experience. You can tell it is a family run restaurant and that they really care about their customers. Everyone should try them out.

P.S. they also serve lunch and dinner!
