Located in an improbable corner of an otherwise unremarkable strip mall, Plum's is THE trendy breakfast place. [tough to find; take Newport Blvd. to 17th, across from Ralphs and right before Jack in the Box] Trout, oatmeal brulee', and Dutch Babies adorn the menu, along with trendy versions of omelettes, pancakes, etc. Not as stuffy as a fancy hotel brunch; people are comfy in Abercrombie attire. Formerly a local secret, the secret is out, so arrive early on weekends if you don't want to wait (however, they do serve you mimosas while you're waiting.) In winter, bring a jacket in case you have to sit outside. Accoustics inside make for a noisy dining experience. No view, but nice decor and plants. Plum's also does a big catering business.

You must try the Dutch Baby with lemon and powdered sugar...it's absolutely to die for! Happy Feasting!
