I loved their homemade soup and their sandwiches are really very good. Breakfast is fantastic. They have snoqualmie oatmeal and it is wholesome and so warm and good! Coffee is hot, fresh and service always given with a smile and they are very attentive and caring and strive hard to suit your needs. What more could you want?

"Where do you want to go to breakfast this morning dear" says my husband. Without hesitation I say, "oh I know just where i want to go, the little European restaurant up on Division. You have never gone and you've just got to try them out." Service was with in minutes. First came a wonderful fresh squeezed glass of O.J. Then our breakfast, big servings, wonderful Aebleskivers & Dutch Baby that they brought to our table to try. We will order those again next time. Food, Service and friendliness was at it's best here. Try it once and it will become one of your favorites also.

We have been faithful customers for a long time.
My husband is in a wheelchair and we are always
well taken care of. The staff is friendly and we
have always had great service and excellent food.
In regards to comments about the wait:
You want freshly prepared food...consider the
time it takes to cook it. This is not McDonalds!
I am from Germany and in my opinion this is one of the best places to eat in Spokane.

I read the interview below, and I agree with some points. It is a VERY busy place, so the wait can be long and the service slow. I lived in Europe for several years, and s/he is right, some of there dishes are not very authentic. However, that being said, the food is delicious! The menu is extensive and creative. The staff is friendly, even if spread a little too thin. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! I've had good pizza that wasn't from Italy, and a good European breakfast is certainly possible outside of Europe.

I have been to Europe and this does not even compare. Waited way to long for the food and the coffee was below average. Whoever decided to name the place Old European must have never been to Europe. They need some culture experience. We paid a lot of money for the Goulash breakfast (the most expensive breakfast dish on the menu)dish and all we received was a plate of potatoes, eggs and some green peppers tossed together like some sort of omlett, not to mention it was very dry. Hmmm, any of you who know what real Goulash tastes like knows there is a little bit more to that one. They could do so much with this kind of restaurant, very sad. Also extremely inattentive, at least our waitress was this way. Our order was ready to be brought out and our waitress spent 15 minutes talking to some lady and even when we said something to her she continued to ignore us. Unreal. Very poor customer service.

wow! Everyone has to experience the great food and friendly service. I just had fresh huckleberries on homemade hotcakes. I recommend the Dutch Baby with huckleberries too! The owner is very attentive and is always there making sure the service is top notch!

What a breakfast experience! Real humans interacting with the customer - great service from the host, the waitress and even the owner.
The menu is very creative with the most choices I've ever seen. Pick your eggs and meat then choose from- hotcakes, french toast, Belgian waffle, potatoes & toast, strawberry Swedish crepes, biscuits & gravy, German potato pancakes, a huge cinnamon roll, veggie browns, or my favorite Danish Aebelskivers (egg batter filled with fruit or sausage & cheese baked into a ball shape). More choices include 3 kinds of Eggs Bennedict, Dutch Babies or Hungarian Goulash. Watch the cool European juicer pulverize oranges into orange juice.

I was not overly impressed by the food here. Don't get me wrong, the food was fine but I found it to be a merely average dining experience.
I think the thing that detracted from the overall experience for me was the extended amount of time it took for the food to be served. I tend to get grumpy if I have to wait too long for my food when I am hungry.

Totally Divine!! Great food- like real European food. Their menu is as much fun to read as their food is to eat. Lots of variety. I am super picky when it comes to Eggs Benedict.....theirs is the best in Spokane. Abelskeivers (or however you spell it) yummy!! I don't like OJ. But hey theirs is fresh squeezed and oh so good. Totally worth it every penny.
