I used to work at The Gourmet Penguin. I washed dishes for a year or two and helped out preparing meals. I never thought someething would sadden me so much as when it closed down. I never thought it would effect me so much until I realized I spent my maturing years there and how friendly everyone their was to work with. I didn't leave on the best of terms, which is one thing I regret horribly. Now that I realize how extremely tough life can get, I sometimes daydream about the simpler times when all that was required was for me to wash dishes. Granted it was only five or six years ago, that place still haunts me to this day and I hope all my former co-workers are doing well in their endeavors through life. I miss you guys, especially my boss, who introduced me to the wonders of Bela Fleck, Jah Wobble, and Dead Can Dance, all of which I still listen to this very day.

The tofu scrambler was fabulous and the omelets are gourmet and to die for!! Exotic cheeses etc. This is the idea place for the person looking for a gourmet breakfast that's hard on the arteries, along with people looking for vegetarian or lighter selections. A++++++
