Kirby Lane is kinda of an Austin earthy-crunchy tradition. Their service varies, but it's not the service that brings me back, it's the PANCAKES! They are the best (and biggest) in Austin. My absolute favorite were the cinnamon peach, but the pumpkin are pretty amazing as well. I am also VERY picky about coffee, and their coffee is excellent, deep, rich and yummy!

The service at the Guadalupe location is horrible, after waiting 20 minutes for water and a menu we walked out. The seating host had the nerve to ask us where we were going as if we were walking out on a tab. He could'nt remember us when we walked in because it had been so long. Went back with a group of 15 for work breakfast. They did'nt have the table ready even though the reservation was confirmed a week before and the day before as well. They finally put us in a room with no heat. When we got our breakfast and hour after we ordered it was cold and nasty and the waitress blurted out that she was one of two waitress working and 10 tables came in at once. Hmmm they did know we were coming in the week before. Poor management.
