We are breakfast eaters and were attracted to this restaurant because of the long lines we saw out front every weekend. I looked at online ratings and although they were mixed thought we should give it a try. In preparation for the long brunch lines on a Saturday they had set out a coffee table for those waiting outside - an inviting thing. We got in before the crowds and got a table on their enclosed patio which was cluttered with a variety of bird cages and cake plates - online ratings mentioned this as anything from "charming decor" to "pointless clutter" I would go with clutter - there was no rhyme nor reason to the decor and you felt crowded - given the items at hand it could have been well done. As the french toast had received many good ratings I had decided I must try them - the french toast list was a large selection of desserts on bread. I finally ordered the french toast with lemon curd and raspberries and also a side order of bacon. My husband ordered "our version of eggs Florentine" which was a fried rice with eggs and spinach. The french toast was quite tasty, but I'll argue that anything with lemon curd and raspberries on top of it would taste good. The french toast itself was dry and flavorless and I was entirely unimpressed. The bacon was very good, but at $5 for a plate of four slices this prompted my wallet buster rating - I don't think bacon is worth $1.25 per slice no matter how good it is. The coffee and juice were good but likewise very expensive. The eggs Florentine were far too salty and the rice was undercooked. We were very disappointed and suspected the large lines we'd seen were mostly fueled by others who had seen the large lines also. I think you could pass this restaurant up and not miss anything.

We booked the Garden Room of 26 Beach for a graduation party. It was for afternoon tea - I know not Breakfast, but am sure we could have if we wanted to. All the bookings were done from Australia, with the best service from Andy the manager. The food was fabulous, the service wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for this great little oasis. We LOVED it. Everything was as we wanted it; they were very accommodating with our menus, wine, tea, coffee, etc and it was surprisingly very reasonably priced. Our friend's daughter wants her party there next year!! Thank you Andy and 26Beach. Divine!!

If you love french toast like I do, this is the place to go as they have about 12 different kinds. I got the Island french toast which has coconut, pineapple, pecans sitting in maple syrup and it was amazing. Next trip down I'm going to try the Elvis which is stuffed with peanut butter, bananas and jelly! Huge breakfast menu as well, with lots and lots of choices.

Coffee could of been refilled more promptly is the only negative.

Also note that weekdays they don't open until 11am.

Amazing french toasts, I love the Peaches & Cream, croissant french toast, carmelized peaches, pecan sauce and ice cream, they must have 15 or more frech toasts. The sourdough breakfast sandwich also rocks.
They also do great burgers, The Ole' is my favorite, bacon, chedder and guacamole.
