I ordered a quiche. It was brought looking like something my cat would want to bury. A blop of something on my plate. I have eaten there off and on for the last 20 years and I must say this was my worst experience with their food. Service is another matter. There was a woman manager on duty who did nothing to help out the wait people. She walked around moving menues, taking cash after making people wait to pay and generally usless. When I asked the wait person why that wondering woman didn't help she told me she was the manager.
Enough said. It will be a long time before I return.

Given some of the other places in South Pasadena, I had anticipated that this restaurant would have a better feel to it. The atmosphere seemed a bit run down. As to the food - the breakfast menu was rather sparse. The food itself was ok, although I wished there was a bit more for the price.

Unfortunately only they only serve breakfast on the weekends, in which case their signature Baked Brie & Turkey sandwich is absolutely amazing. While the atmosphere is nice enough, it does suffer from that bad '80s renovation theme that seems to plague 75% of the so-called "Family Restaurants" in L.A. (aka, Denny's, Shakers, Conrads, etc.). But it's a great breakfast spot for a weekend morning. Their orange french toast with chocolate may sound a bit out there, but it's really quite good. Coffee is nothing special - I recommend Coffee Bean & Tea down and across the street.
