Breakfast is our favorite meal out. When travelling through the area we have visited this Cowgirl location three times so that alone tells you something. Large portions, friendly service, reasonable prices.
And, for the most part restaurant coffee is dreck so we find a coffee shop when we need our caffeine fix.
Since we are both good cooks we have yet to find a place that is better than we can do at home so we are still looking for "awesome". The El Tovar at the Grand Canyon comes the closest due to the view.

Located in the downtown area of Paso Robles, this down-home eatery is open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They have just about anything you could want for breakfast including some innovative items like Potato Skins and Eggs, a breakfast version of Irish Nachos - Yum! All servings are huge.
Meals come with your choice of home fries, grits or what may be the most perfectly crisped slab of hashed browns to be had anywhere. Biscuit and gravy fans will be equally as pleased.
Service is laid back, but the servers are friendly and can tell you anything you want to know about the area. See a sample menu here.
