I enjoy the coffee and iced tea outside while your waiting for your name to be called. The wait long but worth it. Don't go on a Sat. or Sun. morning if you dont like to wait.

I think that Stacks is a great place, they got some hip interior design goin on, and the people who work there are pretty with it. The food taste great, and the menu has a great deal of choices for all types of appetite. So, I find the place to be good, unless you sit in 3rd class seats nest to the kitchen. Here is my problem with these seats, you get to see all how your food is prepared, everything from the waitress using here hands to sort your food into a delightful collection of carefully placed food. My second issue with the "Cheap Seats" is the nuclear reactor they have for a toaster, and I, of course, sit next to it, and feel the temperature rise to a solid 130 degrees F. The waitress askes "Would you like some more coffee sir?" "I did, but now I need a gallon of Gatorade and towel to remove the sweet from my eyes." I reply. I waited a solid 30 minutes to sit in the "Cheap Seats", I wish they would tell me before hand that I may have to endure a busy kitchen and not have the ability to people watch as I do in other restaurants.
Cheers

I was not happy after my first visit several years ago. I thought I would give them another try a couple of weeks ago hoping it might have been up to my expectations. Far from it.
$10.00 for a country scramble type of breakfast. I felt it was way over priced for the size of the portion. The gravy tasted as though it had been sitting for some time and it lacked proper seasoning. Coffee and water refills were scarce at best. I realize that they were very busy at the time, but they always are, and should have been better prepared.
I find the crowd to be of the Yuppie type with more disposable cash than some. That comment not withstanding, I would myself, be more than happy to pay $15.00 for a good breakfast if it was worth it.
In closing, I must say that I am really puzzled by the large crowds at Stacks. Either I'm missing somthing, or those people do not venture out too far to try other breakfast establishments in the area, which is fine with me. Less crowds to deal with.

The name says it all; pancakes (full/short stacks or singles) should absolutely not be missed!
My personal favorite is the hearty "Lumberjack" pancake, with bananas, raisins, nuts, and wheat germ. However, clients rave about the blueberry and buttermilk varieties as well.
Omelettes are delicious and flavorful. Try the chicken apple sausage, gouda, and green onion variety. Delicious!!
The only downside is that pancakes can't be substituted for hashbrowns/toast. Not to worry...a single pancake is more than ample to satisfy even a hearty appetite.
Come hungry, leave happy!
