Visited on a Sunday. We had very unattentive service and cold bland food. Won't return.

My Veg Out omelette was stuffed full, and the veggies were fresh and crisp, not overcooked. The potatoes had a nice flavor but were a bit harder than I would've liked; however, I think I hit 'em right between breakfast and brunch so I may have gotten the last of the panful. The portion sizes are immense and I managed to eat about half of what was on my platter (not plate, mind you -- platter); I took the rest to work for lunch and the omelette heated up beautifully in the microwave. The service was great but there were only a few of us in the restaurant so I got all kinds of attention (and refills on my coffee!). And when I realized that I had to get to work, it was no problem to catch my server's eye to get the cheque. This restaurant is on the northwest corner of the Bruce B. Downs / Fowler intersection, across from the USF campus and easy to get to; parking is no problem. Next time, I'm trying the Florida french toast.

First Watch has the best pancakes I have ever eaten. The cranberry nut pancakes are to die for. The Omlettes and home fries are excellent as well. You get big portions and good friendly service. If you go on a weekend get there before ten to avoid a wait. The free coffee provided while you wait is very good though, so you don't mind.

First Watch is our favorite place to go for breakfast. It is a great family environment and the service is excellent. Everything my husband and I have tried has been delicious. My favorites are the fruit crepes and the eggs benedict. Very Yum!! My girls like the chocolate chip pancake. It is one huge pancake, definitely big enough for a 2 and 4 year old to share.

First Watch is a chain which specializes in only breakfast, brunch and lunch, with the menu being on the healthy side. (If you check out their website, it actually gives the nutritional contents and calories for each entree.) My husband and I were there for breakfast and the place began to really get crowed by "brunch time."
The restaurant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. All staff were very friendly and accomodating. The selection of egg dishes was tremendous. They also had Belgium waffles, French toast and pancake selections. I had the cranberry nut pancakes which were huge and filled the plate. One would think they were filling, but they were light and fluffy. My husband had the "powerwrap" (a wrap full of egg whites, tomatoe, spinach, cheese and smoked turkey). He said it was terrific. We also split a bowl of grits.
Since we are new to the Tampa area, it was nice finding a good breakfast place for the weekends. If you live in the area, or are going to be in the area, definitely, check this place out and bring your appetite.
