My son, daughter-in-law and grandson took me to breakfast at The Bomber. After we were seated and had ordered our food, my daughter called to say her and a friend were coming to join us. The waitress, without missing a beat, promptly moved us to a larger table! The food was out of this world, the service was great and awesome coffee! My french toast was very good and stealing bites from family was worth every bite! My daughter ordered lunch and the sour cream & chive french fries are to die for!

If you don't like the Bomber, you just don't like food and good people.

Sometimes there is a reason not to fully appreciate good company. My wife got a call on her cell phone just about the time a birthday party started for one of the diners across from us. The cymbals were the worst part when trying to hear reported the spouse.

My son asked the waitress if they didn't have a real breakfast menu with pancakes and stuff. She had to show him that, like the bottled spaghetti sauce, it was in there even if slower types have to work to find things among breakfasts like the The Pilot, the Co-Pilot, etc..

The food is plentiful, the prices quite modest, that decor maybe not chic but - umm - comfortable.

I would imagine the restaurant was once an adjunct to the large number of gas pumps in the shadow of the actual bomber the founder once flew in The Big one. The pumps are all gone but the bomber remains as a proud salute.

An aging institution as you can tell.

Did I mention the food was fine?
