This place is still pretty special as far as neighborhood joints go, but it was incredible in the 1980s when the original founder still owned it. The homemade thick bread for butter drenched toast is still pretty great, and anywhere you can get a waffle with bacon cooked inside of it gets a nod from me.

Still a great local joint or a worthy stop on a road trip, but no longer a breakfast destination.

A greasy spoon that could use a good wash, the place is only open for breakfast and lunch and serves the best omelettes and home fries in the entire area...watch for crumbs from prior diners on the table and around your feet as you enjoy massive loads of delicious eggs, taters, n all the trimmings..a place not to be missed!

This is the quintessential breakfast and lunch place, open 6 am to 3pm. It is not a chain restaurant. It is down-home. It is usually packed, but their efficiency makes the short wait worthwhile. It is distinctively the best in our area, with a friendly atmosphere and clean, too. They make their own bread, and it is great too.
