Just like any neighborhood niche restaurant, its fans are ravers. However, in this humble breakfast hounds opinion, ABE leaves me wanting more. The gourmet pancakes are thin, mealy, butter disks and a number of the dishes are extra heavy on the salt, e.g. the Hey Ricky (even without chorizo), the Eggs Blackstone, etc. The menu may be more creative than a Waffle House, but the quality is not. On the upside, the blackberry grits are great, but not worth the drive. Be prepared to wait...and wait...and wait. Its as if the NE Tallahassee crowd forgot there are other places to find bacon and eggs. If you happen to be close and not too hungry give it a try, otherwise take your taste buds elsewhere.

the food is awesome! Interesting, innovative menu items and good traditional ones. A very quaint, scenic location. The coffee could be better (they use community coffee), but they make up for it by serving it in cool pottery mugs.

GREAT OMELETTES and wonderful Egg Breakfasts. Pancakes were okay. Lots of different options - even beignets!!!
