waitor dropped our food off then we never seen him again, until he gave us our bill. I had asked him for a box and never recieved it so i left the leftovers and left. bad service. ok food. would never go back!! Newport chowder bowl is really good!!!

We have been to the Chowder Bowl once before and the service was bad and the order was wrong, twice. But we gave them another chance and this time the service was the worst I have ever had anywhere. I am 55 and have been to alot of restaurants so to say the service was the worst is really bad. And it makes me sad to say it because they do have the best clam chowder I have ever tasted. But it doesn't matter how good the food is when the service is that bad and more than once. And today other people got fed up and just walked out of the restaurant. Next time we're in Depoe Bay we will definitely go somewhere else even if the food isn't as good.

Great food and great prices to match. Family atmosphere cozy, with a train theme (and an electric train that circles eaters overhead)and fun fact cards at each table. Nice place to stop at after or before a shopping excursion anong the shopfronts of Depoe Bay. The servers are very friendly and attentive and the meal is sereved quickly for those of you with impatient children complaining that they're hungry and generally wreaking havoc (we've all been there and it's not pleasant). Great little place.
