I'm an omelet lover, and was pleasantly surprised that my omelet had tons of cheese (compared with other restaurants in the QC). What pushed it over the edge was that it was piping HOT! It came right to the table...no heat lamp!

Omelets only served until 11AM.

Other info: Friendly staff. Non-smoking section fairly fresh-smelling. The floors looked a bit on the messy side.

I used to live in Davenport, so I'm a bit biased. I now live in Washington DC & I miss Harlan's SO MUCH!! That will be the first place I go on my return visit! Best damn pancakes in the WORLD!!

The daily breakfast special(not available on weekends) is a great value.For $2.39 you get two eggs, choice of meat, hash browns, and toast. The portions are pretty generous for such an inexpensive meal as well. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but it is a perfect place to get a good look at a nice representative slice(almost stereotypical)of the Iowa populace. All the employees are extremely nice, and constantly keep your coffee warmed up. The one down side is that the coffee is not that good, and they recently gave half and half the boot in favor of that chemical called Coffe-Mate. Highly recommended.
