I would just like to say that I did not write the comment on Racheal !!!!!! I have better things to do then to sit on my computer and type up a story like that !!!!! I used to work there and I always thought that the food is good and the place was clean !!!! I was in there on Monday the day the comment was posted !!!! I ordered food and enojyed it !!!! So to all the people who think that I wrote that review , I didnt!!!!!

i have never seen a place as dirty as this!The restrooms were deplorable:they stunk of urine and werenot sanitary by any standards.The service was horrible!My waitress was rachel,if I remember correctly, and she was not a very nice young lady.Very impolite to say the least!They really need to get more polite people before i ever concider returning,if at all.Both my wife and I are in our seventies,and we should be treated well as we treat others well.the coffee was not strong and it was as if they reused the same grinds for two or more pots.the food was not hot,just warm as we waited as if it were forever.I cannot understand such a plce as this being so horrible!i guess the saying is true,you get what you pay for,in this case,horrible food and service!

I decided to stop in for dinner last night (Saturday). My waitress, Cindy, came right over and cheerfully offered me something to drink while I browse through the menu. I proceeded to order...Cindy quickly brought me the most delicious cream of broccoli soup that I had ever tasted in my life!! It was out of this world! Next came the stuffed pork chops and mashed potatoes....I could not get over the portion size! What a great value for the money! As I ate I watched the waitresses.My waitress, Cindy not only did an excellent job of attending to her tables, but she managed to help the others, while training new staff members! Her cheerful, pleasant and polite personality certainly made my experience a wonderful one! She is truly an asset to your establishment! I am an avid coffee drinker and she always made sure I didnt have to ask her for a refill! I also wanted to commend you about how good the place is looking...removing the cover from the sun roof, and the paint job in the back room did your establishment a world of good! You may want to consider repainting the front too. One other thing...KUDOS to you for bringing back the smoking section!!! I will recommend you to all my friends and family, and from now on, Cindy will be the server that will be requested, not only by myself, but my friends and family as well!! Congrats on a job well done, and give that girl a raise!!!!!!Absolutely exceptional!

Went for breakfast on Sunday. Gloria at register told us sit anywhere. Sat near register. No waitress. Others came in after got waited on . Finally waitress showsup. Didn't see us. Goes for coffees. Minutes pass finally brings coffee and takes mine back because it was "double brewed" Other waitress refilling cups and I have none. Finally get order. Food good. We are asked if want more coffee and she disappears. Had to go to counter to get a refill. Waitresses wait for friends and socialize with each other. Some work really hard while others need training. Not first time for problem. Other people have also complained. Come on Avenue. Don't go under for lousy service.

I go to the ave. all the time for breakfast, lunch, and also sometimes for dinner.. The food and staff are amazing...especially shannon and pam they are the best waitress...but these are just two of the wonderful people that work there they all have great personallities and also the food is great..you will never leave there with an empty stomach..

We come to the ave. restaurant for Breakfast on Sunday after church on sometimes for dinner.they have the best food, and you don't have to wait a long time for your food and you get a big amount of food for your money. the waitress is very nice and make you feel at home.

I come in every weekend for breakfast with my family. I never new you could have pancakes so many ways (Pecan, banana, blueberry, strawberry topping with whip cream) Yum ! Yum ! they will make them how ever you want! I will recommend the Avenue Restaurant to all my friends... and the prices is very good... and the staff is very friendly. and when you have a coffee they have the biggest mugs !

We eat here every weekend,I have to say that the staff if very friendly, they will make you feel at home. they have daily specails at a great price. It is a very clean restaurant ! it's a bottom-less cup of coffee !

I think that the Avenue Restaurant is great for families...It's one of the restaurants in Scranton that has good food, cheap prices, and a clean environment to eat...

The coffee is excellent-hot and in large mugs; they aren't messing around! The food is also very good and at great prices. The staff is, for the most part, wonderful! I have only had one waitress that was a bit on the cranky side, but other than that they are usually pleasant (Shannon and Jackie are especially good). For breakfast I recommend the spinach and cheese omelet; and if you decide to go for dinner I recommend the pork chops or the confetti chicken. Manga, manga, manga!

Just what Scranton needed !! A clean family restaurant with great food. Found it by accident will go there every week. All homemade food and excellent service. Breakfast is great.

I eat here frequently as I live in the area. They serve breakfast all day and the food is very good and value is excellent. They make excellent omlettes and their coffee is extremely hot. If your lucky enogh to get Joann for your waitress you'll never want for anything....
