I had driven past The Pioneer for years, what a waste. Breakfast is my favorite. Their pancakes are much better that IHOP. Service is very fast, staff are friendly, and patrons are colorful. Don't miss this one for breakfast or lunch.

From the parking lot, I was thinking we would have a wait, but that place is bigger than I expected. I was really impressed. I had the 3-egg taco omletes with hash browns and biscuits with gravy. That and coffee with a $2 tip was just under $10. It was A LOT of food. It was hot and delicious. We will be back. Very friendly. Great waitstaff.

The best "mom & pop" breakfast place in the Arlington-Grand Prairie area. Always clean, food consistently good. Prices are very reasonable. The service is great... the servers all know their craft very well. Their lunches are great as well. (They close around 2:00 p.m. so no dinner.)
You will always see folks of every income level, of every age group and it is a great place to have breakfast with friends.

Pioneer Restaurant is a good down home restaurant with friendly wait staff and good home style meals. By far the best in Arlington. I am not associated with the restaurant, just a satisfied customer.

This place is very close to our home but we had never heard of it until Mr. Breakfast. We decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Very reasonably priced - 5.99 for 2 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and pancakes. The food was great and serving staff friendly. The place looked like there would be a wait when we pulled up but we did not have to wait either time we have been there. We will make this a regular breakfast stop.

Mrbreakfast.com saved the day when we visited this restaurant after reading some reviews online -- this place was great! Opened in the 80's, still has the same decor & possibly the same waitresses...this was one of the best breakfast places we've ever been. Family-friendly, crowded with locals, you could tell this wasn't a tourist spot -- this is where Arlington folks come for breakfast, and we know why. Absolutely everything we had was just right - eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon, coffee, biscuits, grits, you name it. Great wait staff, appearing with fresh coffee as soon as you got down to half a cup -- like magic. Nothing fancy, very home-style cooking, hit the spot with our entire family, from kids to adults. Don't miss this place for a great breakfast -- and looks like lunch & dinner would be just as good!

Great Country Breakfast! Biscuits are to die for! Gravy is not so good, but eggs are fresh and the price is right! One of the best out of the way finds in the world!

Tucked out of the way across the street east of the old Six Flags Mall. This is a local favorite. You won't find the tourists here. It is crowded on weekend mornings and does a brisk business weekdays. Wonderful classic breakfast menu, moderately priced, weekdays try the Workman's Special (eggs, bacon or sausage, hashbrowns or grits, toast or busciuts & gravy - $3.95). Also omlettes, pancakes, etc. and lunch.
