When I moved to North Hollywood, I went to this restaurant every weekend because I didn't know anywhere else to go. Since then, I have found much better places to eat breakfast that aren't much futher away.
The coffee is weak, hence them filling the cup quite often. The bacon drips with grease. The eggs and potatoes are also soaked in grease. Guess that's why it's classified as a greasy spoon.

"Ditto" re: waitress service comments - One waitress in particular with longevity - extremely rude and un-accomadating; to not pick up and leave the restaurant is masochistic. One would think this particular waitress dislikes the owner and is single handedly trying to put him out of business!

If you are looking for good food and friendly attentive service, Sitton’s restaurant is unequivocally the worst choice you could possibly make. The food is horrendous as even toast seems to have a layer of grease which they insist is spread that seems to come from the gutters of the grill. If that weren’t bad enough, the service is even worse than the food with some of the staff so rude and offensive that they would be better served handing out job applications outside a city jail.
Sitton’s is one of the few restaurants that provides an open patio open to steadfast dwindling crowd of desperate smokers that will endure any kind of ill treatment, rancid food and tepid coffee in they dying passion to sit down like a human being and enjoy the unique pleasure of sitting down in a public restaurant and enjoy a cup a coffee while smoking a cigarette. This uniqueness does come with a price, the waitresses feel beyond reproach and I have spent many a time waiting 10-20 minutes for a refill on my coffee from a nonexistent waitress only to be given a tepid coffee, cream that comes out in chunks and particular entrees that you learn are dangerous to your health.
Sitton’s also have given me some of the most uniquely bad experiences - as like the day when to my surprise, rather than take my order, my waitress immediately started screaming at me, ordering me to “Get the F—K out of her patio and to get the F—K out of her restaurant” for no apparent reason other than the little voices in her convoluted pharmaceutically tainted mind. When I asked the manager and later on the owner about what had happened, they told me it was my problem, not there’s and it wasn’t until she ended up screaming at a party of 24 that refused to give her a tip for such poor service that she followed them out berating and cussing them out that they finally took it upon themselves to fire her and I was once again allowed to again sit in the patio for abuse.
If you are close enough to consider Sitton’s, I can only recommend that you opt out to go to the Corel in Burbank that is about 1 ½ miles away to the east or Patty’s in Toluca Lake aso about the same distance or the LampLighter on Van Nuys Blvd which is slightly further away. All of these establishments have quality attentive personal that are professional and courteous and the food is much better prepared. If you want to see a dysfunctional restaurant in action for the sheer curiosity, then I recommend Sitton’s on any given night – there always have someone on duty to make your dining experience very unpleasant.

This place rocks! It's a cheesy divey kind of place that's been there for a trillion years and most of the wait staff was probably at the grand opening. However, it's got loads of charm and a poor-man's Big Boy-style mascot standing outside the front door. Gotta love that. Last visit: coffee service was on point... I had to tell them to STOP filling my cup. The eggs were good and when we wanted more jelly, she didn't hesitate. We got jelly. The jelly flowed. It was good, hot, and quick... and I would and will eat there again. And again.

I love this restaurant. The service isn't the greatest, but the food is cheap and amazing. There's alot of variety and the coffee is great, when it does get refilled. I've been going there for a long time now and must admit that once you go there alot, they get to know you and the service gets alot better. Whoever cooks the food deserves a medal.

Sitton's restaurant has a nice hollywood actor/actress type coffee shop look to it, but the service is horrible and the food it awful. I tried this restaurant twice to see if it was really as bad as the first time. Sure enough it was. The first time we ate there, we sat outside and the waitress forgot our order. The second time we ate there, which was at the counter, the waitress was too pre-occupied with the TV and left our food sitting up under the heat lamps for quite some time. She also forgot our toast. We actually had to tell her that our food was ready and that we didn't receive our toast yet. Both times we ate there the food wasn't hot but just warm. The hashbrowns are very greasy. I think the lousy service is due to the fact that a greyhound station is next door to this restaurant and the travellers arn't good tippers. My advice is to avoid this restaurant.
