I cannot comment on the breakfasts, but the lunch/dinner is mediocre at best. And don't get me started on the pies. I guess quality is relative since Banning has few other options.

We were going to a concert in Indio and stopped here around 10am on a Saturday. After a 15 minute wait, during which we checked out the attached antique store, we were seated and greeted with fresh coffee. We all ordered different items and they were all excellent - Omelette, French Toast and regular eggs and potatoes. We also ordered one order of biscuits and gravy to share among the three of us. It too, was fantastic and we didn't need to eat the rest of the day.

We all highly recommend it.....

What this place does for Biscuit & Gravy, Country Fried Steak (Yes for breakfast) and Country Potatoes is out of this world! The Biscuits are fluffy and extremely tasty. These would be outstanding just by themselves. The Gravy for both the biscuits and the country fried steak is both rich, creamy and just a hint of spice. The sausage are large chunks but not too large to turn a person off from the taste. The Country Fried Steak has a chicken coating that would make KFC run for their money. Soo cripsy on the outside and tender and tastey beef in the inside. Last but not least are the coutry potatoes. Cubed potatoes cooked to perfection with a selection of seasoning and green onions. These dishes are not greasy at all. Don't need your tums for this breakfast. Coffee is freashly brewed and served hot. The staff are always seeing if there is anything else you need or refilling you cup. My Husband and I used to go over the Farm House a couple times a month. Life took us over 500 miles away in the begining of 2003. One day we will return to this breakfast.
