I love the Majestic. I can't imagine a trip to St. Louis without at least one stop at the great little restaurant. The majestic isn't a pre-fab imitation of a diner, it's the real deal. The food is good, the service is generally great, but what really makes the place is its atmosphere--friendly, relaxed, inviting and funky all at the same time. You can't fake a place like this. Like all great places, it has a personality all its own. I hope the Majestic stays in business until long after I'm dead and gone.

My only little gripe is that it doesn't stay open later at night. Still, that's a small complaint, indeed. There are rumblings that St. Louis will ban smoking in restaurants soon. I hope not. I don't smoke (usually) but there's just something so right about seeing folks relax with a cigarette over a steaming cup of coffee.
Keep up the good work Majestic. Don't ever change.
