We started eating there 20 years ago when we vacationed there. Now I am a resident and the food and service are better than ever. Greatest breakfasts and wonderful lunches. Wonderful home made soups. Also very pleasing to the eye since the renovation. And they are open all year round.

Consistently excellent food, service, staff and atmosphere. Try this one: Philly cheese steak omelet with 3 peppers and tomato. Add a bit of Tabasco and you've got the best omelet made on the island.

This is a small place with maybe 15 booths and a counter with 4 stools. The Varsity has a college eatery atmosphere about it with several pennants adorning the walls and plenty of beautiful young Irish women serving you. And the food they serve is excellent, all well prepared and they are fast about it. You'll be eating before the waitress has a chance to refill your next cup. After breakfast, you are a few short steps (2 blocks) from the boardwalk where you can walk off your full tummy warm all over feeling. But, be warned. The salt air will only make you hungry all over again. So when Mr. Breakfast starts a Mr. Lunch site, I'll happily direct you to back to the Varsity where they have a cheddar onion soup that is legendary.
