Expensive and inconsistent. Had breakfast with a group of friends. Service was good, but a couple of us ordered the vegetarian omelettes (all omelette dishes, 3 eggs over $10, with hash browns and toast). One was good, the other was greasy like the vegetables were cooked in grease, then added to the eggs. The veggies were so oily, the eggs would even stick to them. Also the coffee creamer must not be refrig, cause we had one come out of the container in a solid plop into our coffee. With the variety of good breakfast places in Castro Valley (Jenny's, JD's), I would not come here. Also it is true that thier Eggs Benedict does come with "Golden sauce" instead of hollidaise. Strange.

There is line outside this place everyweek so my wife and I decided to try it. There must have been some good food in the past but the present does not reflect it. Like other reviews, the selection is deep and diverse which may be the trouble.
The key issue is the hash browns. Everyone raved about them, however, it is over blown praise. They are prepared in large trays and your portion is a rectangular cut slice. Thus, brown on the bottom only and not cooked in the middle. Again, volume is the problem.
Price was higher than most for this strip mall location.
Finally, I asked for non-pork breakfast meat. They thought I was from another planet. Long-live the chicken-apple sausage.

Great breakfast menu. A great selection of omelets as well as the basics: pancakes, French Toast, and waffles(regular and Belgian). The service is great as well as the food. It's a bit on the pricey side but worth it.
