Still my favorite place to eat. I drive over 100 miles to get to this place. Apple pancakes, fried chicken and even the ribs are tops. Staff is wonderful. I'e also gotten a snooty waitress but that was only once and I refuse to allow her to serve me. Coffee is Farmer Brothers brand which in my book is not the cheap diner stuff, always hot, rich and great tasting. They make it fresh often. Prices are fair, not cheap but then they do offer something special and some of the best chicken in the world.

The food is awesome but the waitress was pretty snoooty. If I ever move to los angeles I will go here all the time because it is that good. The coffee is not good though and average at best.

Best Coffee in Los Angeles hands down, want HOT, RICH, FULL Flavor coffee then don't stop go straight to Dinah's. You have to have really bad taste to not like their coffee.

I agree with the first poster that the coffee at Dinah's is probably the best in Los Angeles. None of the modern flavored stuff, but rich, full coffee. I've never had a bad cup at Dinah's. The seafood pasta is also to die for as well as the Apple Pancakes and huge dutch babies. They also make a huge monster banana pancake. Fried chicken is my favorite, all you can eat on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Love the food, but the coffee, although they give you a whole carafe at your table, is bad diner stuff. Get the breakfast special & forgo the coffee.

Nice breakfasts. They cook the eggs in some grade b margarine though that leaves a funky taste and yellowish dye all over the eggs.

Best known for it's FAMOUS, all you can eat (Thursdays and Mondays) Fried Chicken. For breakfast they have the World's BEST Apple Pancakes, HUGE plate of apples, cinnamon and dough, take what you can't eat home as it re-heats even better for the next day. Dutch Babies dwarf all other pancakes. Have yet to find better, even better then "Original Pancake House chain". Coffee is the BEST i've had in the US, always HOT, fresh and great flavor. A must try when in Los Angeles, close to LAX. Use "Donna the waitress", has been there over 25 years and treats her customers like gold, even new ones.
