Salt Bay Cafe is no more.
In the same location: Maine Gold, specializing in Maple Syrup in every incarnation and serving home cooked breakfast! Excellent food, wonderful people.

My husand and I brought our baby out for breakfast and it was awesome. They are very children friendly. I had the homemade cinnamon swirl french toast and it was great. My husband had an omelet with apple, bacon and cheddar. It was huge! The coffee was good too. I love flavored coffee and they had chocolate raspberry. They even had a waiting area for Elizabeth to play.

I tried the crabcakes benedict and now let me tell you, the poached eggs were hard boiled and the crabcakes had no taste of crab at all, and the sauce was sweet. My wife tried a more standard type of breakfast scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast. The pancakes were very large, thin and would not absorb any syrup. I would liken it to eating fiber board. It was the longest wait ever(45 minutes)for what turned out to be without a doubt the most horrible breakfast we have ever had.
