My husband and I have been going to Sunnyside quite frequently since we moved into the neighborhood and had great experiences until recently. Two times in a row, there was lipstick on the mug given to me. The first time, the waitress switched it out without an apology. The second time, the waitress excused it with how lipsticks are now "long lasting" and the "dishwashing doesn't always get it off." They don't have an email address for comments, that I'm aware of, but I would say, fix your wash practices - it's not a problem in other restaurants. At least look at the glass before you give it to a costumer. I love this place, but I am disgusted by the lipstick incidences and offended that it's just brushed off. If it happens again, I'm calling the heath department (or the appropriate agency).

WOW!! This was the greatest place. Cute, homey and clean with friendly staff. And the food was outstanding. The lumberjack meal was awesome, it had everything, eggs, potatoes, your choice of meat and your choice of pancakes or french toast. And not the little portions you get at chains, but big portions. I had the Lumberjack with ham and french toast, which was absolutely amazing. The ham steak was full size (not half a one) and the french toast rocks!! The food was great, the service was outstanding -- if you're looking for good food and good service, this is the place. Also, the coffee is really good (Kona coffee) and comes in big mugs.

The service was good, very good, But the Food was Awesome. That is the fastest cook that I have ever incountered. My eggs were perfect. The food was hot and cooked correctly (and I'm picky). What ever he makes an hour, he is worth more. He should get a raise. Good job. I will definatly go there again. Was there Thursday the 12th of July.

Me and my two buddies went in there about two or 3 sunday mornings ago just wanting some quick food after a late night out. what we got was by FAR so much better. our waitress was not only GORGEOUS, but was hilarious, friendly, and very efficiant. she asked if we needed anything everytime she came by, (which was often) and i noticed she did with all of her tables. they had amazing skillets, and they give you so many different choices and combos. all in all it was the most enjoyable breakfast experience i've had thus far. the food (and our waitress) were GREAT as well as the food service and prices. I'll be back.

When this place 1st opened up, we visited it every Saturday. Not because the food was any good, but because it was decent and it is very close. A few months later, the decent food and below average service got old and we stopped going. IHOP is 30 min wait minimum but much more worth it, so we have been going there instead. *** this morning, due to timing issues, we decided to go back to Sunnyside Up. The owners were sitting on thier duffs, in the waiting area. It took 10 mins to get our drink orders out so we ordered the food at the same time. People that came in after us got thier food before we did and when the food came out.... nothing for me! 10 minutes later, still nothing. I told the BUSBOY, since our waitress was somewhere else..., that I did not want my order. This is entirely too long already so I will stop... But there is much more.

We will never go there again. This place is a flat out joke. Anyone who gives this place a good rating obviously does not care about thier time or thier appetite.

But.. I have to admit.. I love the coffee. Oh well. Steer clear!!!!

My mother and I like to visit different breakfast places and had visited and enjoyed Sunnysideup shortly after they opened. We had been there several times and enjoyed it. UNTIL... in May 2007 we decided to go there having not been in many many months. My 85 year old mother doesn't eat much so asked for just one egg, sunnyside up. The waitress was rude, would not work with my mom in offering to add it to my meal to make the price cheaper (my mom's first complaint). The waitress was so rude we paid for our drinks (that were not consumed) and left. THE MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO WORK WITH THEIR WAIT STAFF TO INSURE QUALITY HELP

We waited over 50 minutes this morning for our order. In that time our server never came once to refill our coffee or orange juice.

Once we finally got our food it was not hot.. almost cold. My girlfriend took a bite of her burrito and found a hair in it.

We called our server over and she came by and her comment was "it happens".

She didn't apologize and the look she gave us was as though we were evil.

As we walked out we heard her say to customers sitting next to us

"some people take it out on the waitress"

Rude, slow, and hair in the food.

No thanks. I will never return.

Just retired and moved here from CA to be closer to my kids. My son-in-law and daughter took me to Sunnyside Up, they go every weekend. What a cute place. Nicely decorated, clean, friendly staff and the food -- well the food is WONDERFUL. I like it so much I'm there just about every day now. Not only is the food good, but it's nice to go in and everyone knows your name and the staff, manager and owners take the time to visit with you. I highly recommend stopping by -- but even better, become a regular like me.
