I was hoping for more after reading all the reviews here on Mr. Breakfast. Not that it was bad - the food was good, with generous portions, and served hot. The place was packed and lively on the Saturday we visited. It's more for a younger crowd though; noisy, not particularly comfortable and not especially clean either. It was fun, will probably eat there again some day, but it's not the best breakfast in Tacoma by any means.

My new favorite breakfast joint!! I LOVE breakfast..........and this is the place if you want a big yummy breakfast. So far I've tried an omlet which had beautifully fresh veggies and cubes of cheese. I've decided that I need to bring someone with me and SHARE!! I've tried the french toast...very good and hot! I'm usually the one to stick to my few favorites, but at this place, I really would like to try everything on the menu! They make great esspresso and the service has always been very good.

Except for the Sunbreak in Auburn, nobody does breakfast like Shakabrah. Unfortunately, there is table service only on weekends, but the wait staff makes up for it in excellent service. The little kitchen pumps out food in a flash, and they will aim to please by eliminating cheese for vegans, substituting veggies for potatoes, etc. My favorite is the farmers omelet, but the fritattas are terrific.
