It's been a while since I ate here. Foods okay, pricey as others have said, but waitresses are nice- one split a dish for my two toddlers before bringing it to the table which was very cool. I kept giving it another try, but the last time (last year), we walked out solely on the basis of the coffee. Weak coffee is a deal-breaker for me. Refills don't mean anything to me if the coffee sucks. I hope they have improved on this.

I'm a local resident, been eating at Hunny's on weekends and average 1 x per week for breakfast the last 10 years, plus for 6 of these years 2 to 3 times/week for dinner.
POSITIVE: Their food is (mostly) good, also large portions;
NEGATIVE: Their breakfast prices (aside from specials) are high now, especially since they moved;
go as a single person during lunch time/weekend breakfast, if you don't want to sit at the counter and they do have small tables, even if they have empty small tables at that time - the host/owner? (guy) if he's playing host, treats you like a leaper - waitresses generally good but first impression bad because of this host;
yes they serve breakfast all day, but ordering it for lunch/afternoon/dinner, you are taking a chance on the home-fried potatoes or sausage (WELL cooked to word it politely).
With the $$ they charge then for the coffee and add in the tip, it becomes "pricey".
Even though Hunny's is 2 blocks from my house, find myself going to Goodfellas more and more, also Pete's Hamburger Place on 6th Street (simple Hamburger place/but serving breakfast all day/dirt cheap).

A great variety on their menu for any meal.
I really like their breakfast Quesadilla, lots of good Carne Asada!
I've not had the fried chicken since they've moved, but it used to be awesome, along with their mashed potatoes and gravy.
The new location is nicer inside, their food is still real good, and their prices are still fair!
Definitely worth a visit if you've not tried Hunny's Restaurant.

Good family fare. The scrambled eggs are buttery, the breakfast sausage is big, plump and well seasoned (not the little Farmer John's-style ones), and the hash browns are crispy on the outside and buttery melt-in-your-mouth in the inside. Coffee is average, I like a darker roast personally. Usually, the food comes quickly (once or twice it left something to be desired).
