Food is good but they don't serve the same pancakes in the back as the front depending on the server you have will determine the service you have younger kids there are ok but you want the older waitresses waiting on you i enjoy eating there but there is a couple of things i just wont order there cooks cant get it right

All I can say is that despite the hype, I gave this place a chance, but left wishing I hadn't. The food was bland, the service SLOW, unfriendly and at time kind of rude. I can almost forgive the bad service. Our waitress was young, inexperience but spent more time talking to co-workers than attending to customers. The food was not good enough to dismiss the horrible service, however. I seriously doubt that I will ever see the inside of this place again. My advice, DON'T BOTHER!

This is a restaurant whose reputation escapes me. The food is very 'OK' - not great, certainly not bad, just very 'eh' - and yet there is a line out the door at times (not overflowing into the streets mind you, but a party or two in the doorway waiting for a table on weekends).

Their reputation can't come from their service as you quickly get the impression if you aren't a regular, you aren't made to feel very welcome.

The food? It's okay (3 eggs = ok with ratings above). The homefries are bland and unspectacular, the eggs were over-medium as requested and the toast was buttered enough, even if the bread had that cheap bread taste to it. The sausage was warm.

Like I said, not a bad place but its popularity escapes me.

what a great place. no waiting when i went. service was with a smile and very good.food came out fast. place is clean. price was great for coffee and breakfast.

Although the wait was a bit long, the hostess was so cheerful and pleasant, that the time passed quickly. The food was great and my husband LOVED his eggs benedict and that's saying a lot because he usually ends up sending them back at other places. We'll have to make this our new Sunday tradition even after the holiday shopping is done.

The Cozy Grill is a small very deceivng restuarant on Warwick Avenue. The food is excellent. The prices are reasonable. It is usually seat yourself except on Sundays, when they have a little hostess who always greets you with a smile and makes sure that your wait is a pleasant one. She is constantly checking tables or clearing them. She is certainly a pleasant addition to the grill. Although with or without her the food is still excellent. It is definitely worth the trip. Kudos

Food is excellent and very reasonable. I would definitely go back here again. I have not lived in RI for over 20 years, and have frequented diffent resturants and this is by far the best one yet. The hostess greeted me with a smile and although there was a wait she told me it would be only 5 minutes and gept checking with everyone to make sure that we were satisfied.
Once I was sitted I watch this little spitfire of women, she continued to clean tables, seat people and clean bathrooms all without stopping for a moment and always with a smile on her face. Oh yes I definitely give the cozy grill a two thumbs up. For food and Service. You will definitely see me again.

The food is good but on more than one occasion, we have been asked to leave after we were finished so they could free up a table. The host actually asked us to look out the window to see the long line of people waiting to get in. We no longer spend our hard earned money at the "Un-Cozy Grille". Also, waitstaff rarely smiles....not the kind of atmosphere you're looking for when you're starting your day! They have a lot of teenage waitstaff who clearly must keep late hours at night because they are not friendly in the morning.

Waitress was rude, wait was LOOOONNNGGGGG. Not worth the time or money. Go across the street to Paulas Place you will be pleasantly surprised.

There isn't too many places to get a really hearty breakfast. Well,this is the place. Wonderful local atmosphere. The food is excellent without breaking the bank. Very generous portions. Very friendly staff.

It is not always self seating - you get a lot of food on your plate.

They always refill your coffee as needed and if they don't come directly over there is always someone walking around with a fresh pot.

I LOVE THE COZY GRILL!
