We ate breakfast here on March 11, 2007. It was a large amount of food for the money. The sausage and swiss omelet was awesome. Loved the biscuits with gravy. The price was the same for our family of four as it is at Denny's and the food is so much better. My girlfriend got a salad that looked great and she said it tasted wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially for breakfast! They also have homemade fudge and pastries galore!

'R' Place has a certain ambiance to it, but the quality of food and budget pricing have slipped away over time.
I ate breakfast there earlier this year. The biscuits and gravy were bland, and the sausage patties were equally lacking in taste.
The coffee is decent, and most waitresses are good about giving refills.
The old-time toys and collectibles found throughout the restaurant (and under the glass table tops in booths) are pretty cool, but the food just isn't as good as it was five years ago.

R Place is by far not like any other Truck Stop. It breaks the norm for the establishments, and its classic flair is a sight to see. The theme is set in another time long past, and they have old toys and collectibles that belong in a Museum. The Hostesses are friendly and lively (You'll get a hug after you've been there enough for them to recognize and welcome you back), and the waitresses have a good lingering sense of humor and enjoy stopping to chat with you. The Meals, I will say, have from time to time been slow. But that is rare, and I go there often enough it's just inevitable for them to have a bad night. Let's all remember, Restaurants are run by humans and hey, nobody's perfect. Breakfasts are some of the best around, with an extensive menu that changes by theme and week.
I'd recommend this place for Young and Old alike, as the family atmosphere and friendly staff are welcoming to each.
