Not impressed at all. The food was extremely bland and the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. I ordered an English Muffin without butter and the first one, of course, had butter so the waitress brought another one. It took longer to get the second muffin sans butter, than it did to receive the entire breakfast order. Ghini's, Blue Willow, and even the Good Egg all serve better breakfast eats.

Just wanted to vent my unhappiness, that they charge .25 cents for a 2nd jelly. This is on the $1.99 breakfast of course. I can't believe giving out another jelly is going to break them! And then, it's only one coupon per table, which is kind of lame. I guess my friend and I could sit at seperate tables.

I visit The Egg Connection every week. This place is truly a Mom & Pop kind of restaurant. The portions are enormous and the prices are reasonable. The Pop makes everything he can home made. There is no way that they charged that idiot 9 bucks for his oatmeal. The milk, brown sugar and raisins do indeed come for the one price of 3.59. They do charge for tomatoes or fruit when you want to not have potatoes. The daughter Libby, (who is an excellent server) explained to me how the cost of tomatoes and fruit cost WAY more than potatoes. Therefore they cannot substitute as there would not be an even swap. This place is clean and they even have the Gold Plate Award hanging on the wall.(which is earned from the health department for cleanliness) I love The egg Connection and in fact, when my kids were little...they didn't play restaurant...they played "Egg Connection". If you are looking for a great meal at a good price, served by folks who appreciate serving you...go to The Egg Connection!

Good food and friendly service. Go there when on that side of town. Prices are average and they do have good specials and warn you that extras cost extra. They do not charge for milk on you cereal!
Sounds like someone has an axe to grind in your reviewers!

We just got back from breakfast there. Rather disappointed because like the the one previous reviewer noted, anything out of the ordinary, they will "nickle & dime" you to death. In our case, I ordered a bowl of oatmeal ($3.49). When the waiter asked if I wanted brown sugar, raisins and milk with it, I said sure. I would have thought these were staples that come with a bowl of oatmeal, but NO... Each item costed me $1.99, bringing my bowl of oatmeal to cost $9.46!!! I felt ripped off.
Well folks, Never Again... I shall vote with my wallet.

Hope it was a oversight.

Great breakfast, wonderful prices. I had the Marx French toast platter which has 2 eggs, 3 hugh pieces of French toast and great thick bacon. My wife had the sausage links with hers and they are made there. I ordered coffee and a large thermo pot was placed on the table ASAP.

The food is always served hot and with a smile. I eat there about 2 times a month and always enjoy it. I just wish that they were open for dinner too!

Man i thought the biscuits and cinnamon rolls were all frozen. Then one day around 6 a.m. I walked into the kitchen i just had to give him my compliments and I noticed that all the cornbread, biscuits, and cinnamon rolls were fresh from scratch. No wonder they are so good

It was very good. It has a 1.99 breakfast which has a good amount of food. The steak and eggs has a real thick steak. I have been going here about two years and never had a problem except the scary bus boy from the kitchen i saw walk up here. The hostess Debby is just so nice and if you get Libby or William as a server you are in for a treat however it doesn't bother me that the boss occasionally shouts when the servers don't get their food. It has good atmosphere and its a place i will return to for years. Basically the portions are great, service was fast (except sunday gets busy), and the servers rock i reccomend this place.

The Egg Connection is a fantastic place to eat any time of the day. Their menu is reasonably priced, and all of the servers do a god job of getting to you on time. Their portions are humongous, and you always get more than enough of what you pay for. If you're in the mood for cornbread, biscuits, or even Lox, this is the place for you!!! I eat here almost twice a week and have never had a problem with anyone. The only downside is coming in on Sunday when it's so busy (because the food is so good) and the occasional 5-10 minute wait for a table. I love my usual server, Libby, because she is so nice and takes good care of me. I wish I had the funds to eat here EVERY DAY! You should too!

I ate here twice. The first time was for lunch, and the food was good. Good portions, reasonably priced. However, I asked for a lemon for my water and was charged a quarter. Asked for a side of mayo- 90 cents. I'm not making this up. Cheap food, if you get it AS IS, but as soon as you decide you'd like your hamburger to have a freaking CONDIMENT, you're gonna be paying more. The second time I was in for breakfast. Again, tasty food. But I sat at the counter and before I paid my bill, I heard the cook (I think he's also the owner) call his hostess an inappropriate name, and I heard him yell at one of his servers THREE times- very loudly, very inappropriately. I thought I was going to witness a murder right there in the restaurant! Not somewhere to go and relax. It felt like something out of a mafia movie. There's NO CHANCE I'll be giving my money to that establishment again. I'd rather support somewhere that respects its employees. D-

My first visit to the egg connection and all I can say is that I am impressed. The food was incredible, the service unmatched. Our waitor was excellent, and the bus boy, Alberto, was probably the most professional and enthusiastic I have ever contacted. He is to be commended for his service. Overall rating, A+ egg connection.
