Quick seating....long long long wait for food. We have no problem with the name. Food quality was okay, and good amount for senior menu.

An old favorite of my family. Standard fare, but reasonably good quality. Nothing exceptional, just a great american breakfast. It is NOT part of the original Sambo's chain, it has always been an independent Oregon Coast mainstay. Much better than the new Pig'N'Pancake just up the road, which we visited the day before on our last weekend at the beach. Better food, better portions, much better service, and better atmosphere.

The ORIGINAL Sambo's Restaurant in Santa Barbara, CA is the ONLY Sambo's left from the original chain of restaurants (circa 1957 - 1982).

In fact the Santa Barbara restaurant is owned by the Grandson of the FOUNDER (1 of 2) of Sambo's.

It is STILL in business today.

I'm not sure if this was part of the old Sambo's chain, but it is much better than any Sambo's I ever went to. Lots of stuffed animals around, very kid friendly and popular with families. Good food and a wide selection of breakfast entrees, especially the pancake and waffle variety.
