We were seated when we walked in the door. But then it took 10 minutes for somebody to ask us for our drink order. It took another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive and then another 5 minutes for somebody to take our order. That's 25 minutes of waiting -- and the server wasn't even remotely friendly. We should've walked out at this point.

What everyone should know is that we've been to Jack N Jills many times -- and the service is very "hit or miss" 50% of the time. We've been there when the service was good -- and then it's been really bad. But this time, it was the last straw for us because the food didn't wow us either. I don't need an amazing breakfast -- just a good breakfast and I didn't think it was very good. However, I do need decent service and we simply didn't get that from this place. We're not going back there again. Every restaurant owner should know that the key to making your customers happy is good service. Greet people with a smile, and show them a little attention -- and they'll come back over and over again.

The concept of this place is really adorable! They have a great breakfast menu and it's served all day because breakfast is the owner's favorite meal. Their egg and omelette dishes are served with hash browns, fresh fruit, or grits AND fresh cornbread, muffins, or toast. I had their egg white Beverly frittata which i thought was a little bland and the cornbread was average - nothing special. My favorite dish was their amazing Louisiana banana pudding!! They describe it as "The richest, creamiest, banana pudding you've ever had. Garnished with fresh bananas, delilah cookies, and real whipped cream. Nirvana in a bowl." This was definitely the best pudding i have ever had, and the bowl was HUGE, people were staring as i finished the whole thing! AND they also have some of the best cookies i have ever had - soft and chewy perfection. I cant wait to go back!
