Best breakfast I'd had in Portland. Go there occasionally and am never disappointed. There's enough variety on the menu that I never get tired of ordering off it. Before I order I always take a look and see what their specials are. This week carrot cake pancakes with sweet cream cheese butter. INCREDIBLE

Aptly named. Portland is full of great breakfasts, and Utopia is one of the best. Their French toast is so good that it is difficult not to order it every time, but they have so many incredible plates that you really must return again and again. Sometimes the wait is long, which you know is a good sign. The menu items are breakfast classics, but with gourmet ingredients that give them an edge of excitement. Don't bother showing up late in the morning, every breakfast is fresh and when it's gone, it's gone.

The Sunday morning wait wasn't bad; very short actually. The food was great. The helpings quite large. I would confidently recommend Utopia to anyone for breakfast, and I will certainly go again.

i'm a brunch junkie with high standards. utopia is one of my favorite places in town. excellent, innovative omelettes and scrambles; yummy pastries; friendly, attentive service. They also usually have some interesting art exhibitions on the walls too. Try their molasses bread with your meal--it's delish!
