Nothing special in any way. The service was O.K., the food was O.K., the atmosphere was almost O.K. If you enjoy finding new places for cool and tasty breakfast you won't hate it but probably leave wishing there was anything worth going back for. That was probably the first and last for us.

This place used to be great. I would drive across town to wait in line to have breakfast there. Now they have a place in my neighborhood and it's so bad that I would not make the short bike ride. The scones and marionberry corncakes used to be heaven, now they seem formulaic like they were prepared off premesis, frozen and shipped in. The service is so god awful that I waited so long (in an empty restaurant) that I got up and got myself a cup of coffee, and I NEVER do that kind of thing. Unfortunately this is a dying star. Sorry to be the one who breaks the news.

I love this place. The food is fresh, tasty , not soaked in grease. They have a nice variety of omelettes and other choices aside from your basic which is great too. The scones are delicious. You can ask for organic eggs, in general the food is healthy. Love it! Super crowded prepare to wait.

I found this little cafe with it's downhome/granola/veghead/non-veghead atmosphere when I moved to Portland from Eugene 9 years ago. This place had the longest line to get in on the street so I took it as a good sign and was not disappointed. Have a Havarti and Ham omelette (not on the menu, but the ingredients are and they're happy to please) or the Challah French toast. Homemade scones and jam not to mention great coffee. The potatoes are mom's recipie and can be had several different ways. Great little patio worth waiting for when the weather warms up.
