Ate there on 1/14/12 and it was awful - got there at 1130am. Heading back to Buffalo and wife wanted to stop there. I ordered chorizo and eggs and wife had chorizo western sandwich. My meal was so skimpy and my wife's omlette was runny and soggy. Place was filthy - dirt all over floor and under booths. Changed booths since last time I was there, all plastic type. Lost that homey diner feeling. Bathrooms were disgusting - looked like the haven't been cleaned in weeks. Plus vanity falling apart.

I was born in Fall River 62 years ago and visit Al Mac's everytime I am in town. I have never had a BAD meal or a BAD WAITRESS. It is a diner, if you want fancy then you have to go else where. Keep up the good work. Regards, Jerry Gaudreau

Went in there to grab something to eat a Friday night place wasn't buys maybe about 10 people. Sat down ordered the same thing as my brother in law home fries corned beef hash eggs and toast. He gets his whit a heaping serving of home fries fresh and I get mine will half the size as his and all the burned ones I tell the waitress I want some more please so she tells the cook (owner) literally gives me 5 small pieces of more burnt ones. then the wash boy in the back comes out and want to give me lip like I was talking to him WTF don't know why I got treated so but I would have to guess it was the color of my skin guess my money isn't green enough the waitress tries to tell me that the burnt fries is highly “coveted” there didn’t even eat my food paid and left. Should have known 50’s style dinner 50’s style mentality, I hate when people say “it’s because I’m black …..” I don’t even consider myself black I am from the Caribbean islands of East Indian decent my brother in law is white what am I supposed to think! Will never go there when I visit MA again and nor will any of my family…. SAD

Classic diner with typical diner fare. Quite popular which slows down the service. Much cleaner since they upgraded the booths.

Its a Diner! Not a brand-new nostalgia inducing place, it's a real diner! It's been open since 1910 so that should tell you something about the food and the restaurant itself. Food was ready before I was half-way finished my first cup of excellent coffee. Portions are generous and very tasty. Homefries are some of the best I've tasted. Their Chipped Beef on Toast (SOS) is thick and creamy with plenty of beef. Waitress was friendly and quick to refill my cup. Restaurant is very clean, has ample seating and plenty of parking.

Great classic old school Diner. As their sign says justly famous since 1910. You can't go wrong at Al Mac's.
