This is an awesome place for breakfast! You have to wait a few extra minutes because the place is cozy, but it is well worth it! You feel like you are one of the family...The owner even saw that my purse was on the ground and took out a chair beside me to put it on. The attention to customer service and detail is amazing (the food is great too!) Love this place can't wait to come back!

The Beach Dog moved a little further south on 101 , just past the Bay House Restaurant on east side of the highway "Worth The Stop"!!!

I ordered an eggwhite omelette with fresh spinach
mushrooms, tomatoe's, peppers,onions, light swiss
cheese. Sliced tomatoe's in place of skillet style potatoe's and dry 12 grain toast. A cup
of hot Tazo Green Tea... A great way to start
my day after my work out on the Beach.
I left happy. Would recommend to anyone!

This Cafe is located one street over from
Mo's Restaurant in Taft. If you are a Dog
Lover, Definitely should stop by and
check out the Dog Gallery. Excellent Breakfast
and Lunch Spot.
Spicy Sausage Breakfast Burrito is my favorite,
with Salsa and Sour Cream and Skillet Style
Potato's, Excellente! Cherry Strudle for dessert.

Okay, you can't find the things on this menu ANYWHERE. Nor can you find them done as well. I'm specifically talking about their potato pancakes - beautifully golden-crisp large patties of FRESH grated potatoes, with none of that preservative crap on them, served with applesauce! OH MY GOSH! And the pork chops? Bone in, delectable, juicy meaty goodness, PERFECTLY COOKED by owner Roger, and actually spiced to perfection with salt, pepper and I think a touch of garlic. OH MY. I've had this breakfast about 10 times now and every single time it is extraordinary. Not once has it been too done, too raw, too anything. How's that for consistent homemade goodness! And their stuffed french toast is a revelation. I've had it elsewhere, sometimes you get lucky and spot it on the menu other places, but it won't be etherial and float down into your stomach on a bed of creamy banana goodness. INCREDIBLE!!! Tell Sonia and Roger and Jesse that Jennifer and Richard sent you. We rave to anyone we meet about this tiny wonder in Lincoln City. Just before you exit town going south, don't miss it. And if you love dogs, well read hubby's post above. And bring a photo and a story of your dog. Sonia might just put it up!

You cannot possibly visit the Lincoln City area and not eat at the tiny Beachdog Cafe for either breakfast or lunch unless you want to miss out on a great experience.

First off, if you are a dog person you will howl over the decor. The walls are covered with dog photos submitted by patrons, some have some tales (both happy and sad) with the photos. There is a small TV with the movie "Lassie" running on it all day. So right off you know you are in dog territory.

For luch, the Beachdog has a tremendous selection of hot dogs that will satisfy any hot dog craving, but this is a breakfast review. For a tiny place, the Beachdog has a nice big menu with a lot of potato dishes, omelettes, and pancakes. Of course, since they sell hot dogs, you will find great things like Louisina hot links available in the potatos, omelettes and on the side. My wife's favorites are the pork chops with potato pancakes and applesauce on the side, or the stuffed French toast. I like the spicy omelette made with Louisania hot links and jalapenos, and pretty much else everything on the menu. The coffee is good and the cup always full.

The cafe is run by Sonya, her husband Roger, their son Jessie, and their new puppy who are perhaps the friendliest folks I have ever met. Sonya is always fussing over us and giving us little treats for special occasions whenever we drop in. We only eat there while vacationing, but she always remembers us and treats us like family, so much so that we sometimes just drop by to say hi even if we can't stay to eat. For us, it is a "must".

They are closed Mondays, so don't be disappointed.
