I *guess* this place is averagely expensive, 'cause I never got to find out. When we got there about 1:00 on a Sunday afternoon, a table wasn't available to us. The hostess asked that we five wait outside, on a rainy winter day.
My female in-law asked that she and my 8½-year-old family member could wait inside. No way, was the reply. If they allowed that, the fire marshal would slap a hefty fine on them. These incompetents actually resorted to doing an *86* on very upstanding members of the Salem community - seemingly on a hair-trigger!
My suggestion would be to have the host(ess) take down a cellular #, calling the customer when a table is ready. Waiting inside my family member's car would have been highly preferable over the abysmal treatment we got. That is, if they can't take away a table in their crowded space, or convert one of them for waiting customer comfort.

Busick Court is one of my favourite places to go for breakfast or lunch. There's always a generous serving of deliciousness. My favourite breakfast there is the strawberry pancakes and for lunch, the Tuna Melt always hits the spot for me. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The place is a little cramped and with a kind of antiquated style, but the waitresses are pleasant and always are pretty good at keeping things going and the food, of course, is what I keep going back for.

Supposed to be the best breakfast place in Salem but turned out to be quite dirty with only average food. Not worth the wait.

My favorite breakfast place! The food is amazing and for a very reasonable price. The portions are big. I would recommend the stuffed french toast! It is to die for. The only downside is that it is a little crowded.

we had a great breakfast at Busick court on Saturday morning. Crazy good breakfast food wonderful service, supper busy but the waitresses were cheerful and always there with coffee! HOWEVER the dinning room is so skanky dirty that crap is literally flying of the cieling fans. seriously folks have you dusted since WWII? there is some butt ugly cabinet with wood sculptures on it that has so much dust and greast on it that i gagged. I mean it. this place needs to be closed and cleaned. sticky tables ....i get it syrup and jam everywhere. But C'mon the dirt, grim and grease is nasty-ness. with that many people waiting in line to pay....you can afford to have someone come in and clean. I was afraid to use the restroom or even think about the kitchen but the food was great!

Service Slow and Lazy. Food nothing special. Prices nothing special. I dont know what Rachel Ray ate at Busick Court, but I have been three times in the hope that the first two were non-standard. In all earnestness .....go to IHOP or some other place. The below average service, crowded seating and lazy staff don't earn your hard won cash.

I only get to eat here when I'm in town visiting family, but I LOVE their banana french toast! Worth waiting six months for! The service is always friendly and the wait is always short. Good prices. Definately would recommnend!

All would have been well with this my first visit had it not been the horrible scene I witnessed in the kitchen after my meal. I went to use the restroom with a full happy belly and saw the main cook stick his finger way in his ear, dig way deep and pick something out. He then inspected it and flicked it. He then proceeded to grab with bare hands what appeared to be french toast and slap it on the grill. The kitchen was filthy and there was the prep cook sitting on a bucket not even bothering to clean her area. I've owned three diners in the last 43 years. I will never go back.

Great place for breakfast. As noted, it is small so be prepared to wait. The food is fresh and full of flavor, and the menu has a nice selection of meals that you won't find at the typical 'greasy spoon'. Nice waitstaff and good coffee. Best spot downtown.

The Busick Court is simply the place to go for breakfast in Salem. Two people can generally share one breakfast with the very large portions.
Due to limited space and it's popularity, there is usually a wait to get in. It's well worth it.
When Rachel Ray did her $40 a Day show in Salem, the Busick Court was where she went for breakfast. The wait staff is attentive without hovering and the atmosphere is comfortable, albeit a bit comfortable as they try to maximize the number of people they can seat in their space.
