Sorry, No refills! Other than that this restaurant is one of the best kept secrets of El Paso. The food was fresh and well prepared, service was great and there is a lot to choose from the Menu. Breakfast menu includes American and Mexican specialties. If you are looking to have lunch here then you can choose from an all you can eat buffet or a wide selection of dishes from the "a la carte" menu.
However, there is one detail which bothered me a little... the restroom is awful! It looks worse than it smells! Not that you should not visit this place because of the restroom, but I think it is part that must not be overlooked.

We visited for breakfast. I had huevos rancheros and my husband had the western omlette. My huevos were great, full of flavor. The western omlette was good (not bad, but not great). Service was outstanding, very friendly and prompt. Also, the chips and salsa they served before breakfast came out were great. The chips were warm, thin and crispy and the salsa was flavorful, chunky and not too hot.

Located about 10 or 15 minutes from El Paso International Airport, this friendly, old-fashioned American coffee shop has been around since 1959. A good sign that indicates that this place is a reliable place to dine is the fact that many of its employees have been there for decades. The food here tastes homemade and none of it is greasy. Both American Breakfasts and Mexican-type of Breakfasts (i.e. Menudo, Huevos Rancheros, etc.) are served here. Food portions are generous, meaning you get a lot for your money. In addition to the general public, Elmer’s Family Restaurant is particularly popular among the senior citizens for its good food at a good price. I always eat here during my annual visits to El Paso and sometimes I top off my meal with a slice of their famous Coconut Pie.
DAILY Breakfast Special: Hot Cakes & 2 Eggs for ONLY $1.99!
SAT & SUN: Mexican (red) Menudo is served all day.
DAILY Lunch and Dinner Specials are a real bargain, too, at $2.95 to $5.95. For example, their “Honey-Fried 4-piece Chicken Dinner” is priced at only $4.95.
