We had a great experience at The Lumberjack. This was my first time in Canada. We popped over for breakfast from Detroit before a 1:00 Tigers baseball game. I had the Camper's special and had peameal for the first time. The portions were very generous. Our waitress was very friendly and courteous. She explained what peameal was to me as I had never heard of it. She even took the time to explain the exchange rate for the day from U.S. dollars to Canadian Dollars. If you are looking for a local place to eat; then this is it. It is a very relaxed atmosphere where you can sit and talk with friends over a meal. If I am ever up that way again I will return.

Nothing special, can't figure out the love for the place.
Breakfast in Windsor is rather sad, all standard fare with over cooked bacon.
Worse experience ( another restaurant) was when the waitress sprayed the lunch counter down and cleaned it with a dish cloth. The horror is that she proceeded to wipe the very dish that my breakfast was to be served on with the very same cloth.
Windex is not a condiment.

Probably the best breakfast in Windsor. A little pricier than average, but the portion is more generous with, for example, extra large eggs, premium quality bacon, etc. Have never seen the bottom of my coffee mug at the Lumberjack - their wait staff are always right on top of things. I'm a frequent patron and have never been disappointed.

This is the place to go if you want a cozy, kitchy atmosphere (i.e. lots of wood, animal heads on the walls, dominant color: brown), where the portions are massive and the food is of the comfort variety.

I had the Lumberjack Camp breakfast---it conquered me! Try it with the peameal bacon and spiced up homefries.
